  • belief in dialogue and working with people
  • pursuit of excellence in all aspects of work
  • commitment to leading by example

Vision

Within this context, the vision of the CDF for 2016 is:

To be the world's leading research institution dedicated to the conservation of the biological diversity and natural resources of Galapagos, and committed to building a sustainable and collaborative society to achieve this objective

The CDF foresees a future for Galapagos in which people work together toward a shared vision, with strong local institutions supporting sustainable and equitable businesses. The local culture will be built on cooperation, understanding of the local ecology, and awareness of the major threats to this island ecosystem.
