Can You Guess What This Is???
This is a picture of a baby bird, known as the Galapagos Petrel...(isn't it cute?!?). These cute little guys grow up and after about three and a half months, they go out with their parents to hunt for fish and squid at sea.
They only live in the Galapagos, and sadly, they are almost extinct, but some scientists and other people who care about them are working to protect their nests from danger.
Juan Carlos is a volunteer at the CDRS who helps the petrels.
If you would like to help these birds, maybe you can become a volunteer at the Charles Darwin Research Station when you grow up. If you want to help them now, ask your parents if you can all become "Friends of the Galapagos".
