Renee Monroe

Chief Philanthropy Officer

Renee Monroe joined the Charles Darwin Foundation (CDF) as Chief Philanthropy Officer in May 2018. She first visited and became passionate about the archipelago during a trip in 2009.

Prior to joining CDF, Renee spent twenty years in global development for education, health, sanitation, livelihoods and emergency response programs to assist children and families in poverty. She also has extensive experience in major gift and foundation work for U.S. based medical centers and universities.

As Chief Philanthropy Officer, Renee is responsible for the development, implementation and management of all aspects of fundraising strategies for CDF. Based in New York, she plays a key role in strengthening the Foundation´s presence in multiple local and international sectors.
