José Marín Jarrín

Ex Senior Fisheries Ecologist

José was a Senior Fisheries Ecologist from May 2016 until July 2018, with a focus on studying the life history of several commercially important fish species, the impact of El Niño/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events on artisanal fisheries catch, and the role of mangroves for the early life stages of fishes in Galapagos.

He also worked as the interim Scientific Coordinator for the CDRS, as well as working to develop the first fish age and growth laboratory on the Galapagos Islands.
