My name is Ana Victoria Moya Serrano; I am a resident of Galapagos. I studied marine biology at the International University of Ecuador in Quito and I am currently finishing the Master of Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management, an interuniversity program between the Free University of Brussels, Ghent University and Antwerp University
My journey through the foundation began as a thesis student in the Seamounts project in 2015, when I graduated, in 2017, I returned as a volunteer for the Sharks project and I am currently in the position of junior research assistant for the project, helping to monitor sharks around the archipelago.
Since I was very young, my great motivation has been the protection of ecosystems and being able to be part of the shark project that seeks the conservation of these endangered species is a great privilege that motivates me to continue working and learning for the cause.
