David holds a Bachelor degree in agricultural engineering from the Army Polytechnic School (ESPE) in Ecuador, a master in environmental science from the university of Debrecen in Hungary in and a Ph.D. in ecological restoration from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest-Hungary. His doctoral thesis was conducted on the delineation and evaluation of seed transfer zones by phenotypic traits as a guide for the native seed movement between Hungarian ecoregions to avoid or reduce risks of maladaptation.

An Ecuadorian national, David has experience developing community projects that seek to improve the quality of life of rural populations, as well as sustainable agriculture projects. He has collaborated in the development of various scientific articles focused on the effect of eco-regions on the phenotypic traits of native species.
