Felipe Cornejo

Ecologist-Agronomist for the GV2050 Project

I trained as an Agricultural Engineer at the Army Polytechnic School in Quito, Ecuador. I had the opportunity to work in different countries around the world, in different conditions. However, working with conventional agriculture changed the way I see things, and I understood that the world needs more emphasis on conservation, ecology and sustainable agriculture. For this reason, I decided to do a Master’s degree in Environmental Agrobiology at the University of Barcelona. I had the honor to be part of the Galapagos Verde 2050 project as ecologist/agronomist and to had the opportunity to apply my knowledge, and thus be able to contribute to the conservation of Galapagos and its population wellbeing. I worked until March 2020.
