Juan Sebastian Torres

Environmental educator

Juan Sebastián Torres has a Master’s degree in Biology with a strong focus on “community-based conservation”. He has more than ten years of experience working with several audiences in the fields of experiential/environmental education. Juan Sebastián has the role of the CDF’s environmental educator and coordinates the Education and Community Outreach Program “ECO-Program”, which its main goal is to connect different community audiences of Galapagos with the social-ecosystems present on the islands through different learning methodologies that include the involvement of CDF’s research projects, citizen science, inquiry-based learning, and place-based education.

The “Charles Darwin Foundation for the Galapagos Islands”, in French “Fondation Charles Darwin pour les îles Galapagos”, Association International sans but lucratif (“AISBL”), has its registered office located at Chaussée de la Hulpe 177 Bte 20 (rez) - 1170, Brussels, and is registered under the trade registry of Brussels under the number 0409.359.103.
