Pavel Enríquez-Moncayo

Technical Assistant

Pavel has always admired the people behind the great scientific discoveries both in his home, the Galapagos, as well as worldwide. Further, growing up in the "Enchanted Islands" allowed him to develop a strong connection with nature and its conservation. For him, human beings must respect and take care of the environment, generate sustainable development conditions, and understand that any anthropogenic activity generates environmental impact and can trigger an ecosystem imbalance, especially in such a fragile environment as the Galapagos Islands.
That is why he studied biotechnology and now as Technical Assistant of the Galapagos Verde 2050 project he is immersed in actions to integrate the community with science and restore endangered plants populations within ecosystems historically degraded by humans.
