Daniel Angel

Grants Manager

Daniel has been the Grants Manager in the Charles Darwin Foundation and its Research Station since 2022, as part of the Fundraising team. He has a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University. Daniel has many years’ experience in the nonprofit and social fields, having worked in grassroots and volunteer development; micro ventures in social conscious tourism; the macro policy arena working in the Secretariat of Higher Education of Ecuador. More recently he worked in a renewable energy startup in New York with a strong mission as a social enterprise, an experience that included researching, applying, cultivating and managing various grants and funding opportunities. Currently, Daniel works with all of CDF’s expertise areas, in junction with their scientists and researchers, to help them procure the necessary funding in order to continue their valuable conservation work. He also contributes to the overall donation and fundraising strategy, playing a role in promoting the work of the organization in strategically determined regions.
