Scavenger; arid, transition and humid forest zones; January–July, November–December; at lights, FIT, malaise, under bark of dead Trema. Host plants for wood-boring larvae: Piscidia carthagenensis Jacq., Erythrina velutina Willd., Hippomane mancinella Linnaeus, Ceiba pentandra (L.) Gaertn., Scalesia pedunculata Hook. f., Bursera graveolens (HBK.) Trian. & Planch., Ochroma pyramidale (Cav. ex Lam.).
