Our people

The Charles Darwin Foundation (CDF) is an international institution with deep roots in Ecuador. We are committed to providing opportunities for local residents while also fostering international collaboration and knowledge-sharing, both essential elements for successful research and conservation efforts.

Our diverse workforce of over 140 individuals is primarily composed of Ecuadorian citizens, with over 60% hailing from the Galapagos Islands. We are committed to empowering women in science and leadership, cultivating an environment of equal opportunities and inclusivity.

Management team

Our management team drives the strategy and day to day operations at the CDF and its Research Station, inspiring a new era of excellence in Galapagos stewardship.
