Jacqueline, an Ecuadorian biologist, has been working as an entomologist at the Charles Darwin Foundation since 2014. For three years, she collaborated in the management of the Terrestrial Invertebrate Collection of the Charles Darwin Research Station (CDRS). Currently, she is working on several entomological projects that are carried out in Galapagos National Park areas and in the agricultural zone. Her research includes monitoring terrestrial invertebrates for the ecological restoration project of threatened Scalesia forests on several islands, especially on Isabela, where a multidisciplinary team of researchers seeks to save Scalesia cordata from the imminent extinction.

Jacqueline is also working on other terrestrial invasive species projects, such as seeking to establish the best method to control the yellow paper wasp Polistes versicolor.
