Fernando Echeverría

Internal Logistics Manager

Fernando Echeverría, originally from the city of Guayaquil and a permanent resident of Galapagos, joined the Charles Darwin Foundation as a volunteer in the Meteorology area on August 2, 2016. In July 2018, he transitioned to a role within the Science Directorate, serving as the Internal Logistics Manager.

A significant aspect of his responsibilities involves overseeing the processes related to the handling, control, and monitoring of samples, both genetic and non-genetic, as well as other types integral to research projects conducted by the CDF and visiting scientists. He plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing permits for the mobilization, export, and repatriation of samples. Additionally, Fernando provides valuable support in navigating the migratory processes required for research teams to access Galapagos.
