Johny Mazón

Junior Researcher

Johny, a geographer by profession, has worked in various branches of applied geographic sciences throughout his professional career in the private, governmental, and non-governmental sectors. He is currently a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Junior Researcher at the Charles Darwin Foundation for the Galapagos Islands. His work involves applying GIS solutions to understand the natural processes occurring in the archipelago, the human activities that impact the environment, and the relationships between inhabited areas and their surroundings. This is done to develop research and biodiversity conservation strategies in the delicate Galapagos ecosystem.
