Leslie León
Communications Officer
Leslie, a native of the Galapagos Islands, is deeply dedicated to environmental stewardship and passionate about her profession. She pursued her education in social communication at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja and has been actively engaged in the field since the age of 19. With over a decade of experience, she has contributed to various media and communication roles within institutions across the province.
In September to December 2020, Leslie enthusiastically joined the Communication team at the Charles Darwin Foundation as a volunteer. Recognizing her commitment and expertise, she officially became a member of the staff in January 2021, assuming the role of Communication Officer.
Within the CDF, Leslie plays a pivotal role in crafting press releases, generating content for the organization's website, and managing social media platforms. Her contributions reflect both her dedication to the Galapagos environment and her proficiency in the field of communication.
