Paúl Mayorga

Technical Assistant of the Galapagos Verde 2050 Project

I was born and raised in these "Enchanted Islands", which meant from a young age I was naturally immersed in the conservation of the place where I live. Growing up with relatively little technology and being surrounded by nature instilled a great spirit of environmental awareness so naturally a great interest in working on a scientific project that was responsible for maintaining and caring for these ecosystems.

I joined the Charles Darwin Foundation as a volunteer to the Galapagos Verde 2050 project, where I could see the important work that was done. I am currently working as a field assistant for the project, where I can continue to protect this beautiful place and contribute to science for conservation.

PROTECT GALAPAGOS,
IMPACT THE WORLD

The mission of the Charles Darwin Foundation and its Research Station is to tackle the greatest threats and challenges to Galapagos through scientific research and conservation action, in order to safeguard one of the world’s most important natural treasures.
