Leslie Sánchez

Safeguards Officer

Leslie is an Environmental Engineer from the National Polytechnic School, with specializations in climate change and biodiversity policy from the University of Padua and the Andean University Simón Bolívar.

Leslie has over eleven years of professional experience in environmental management and sustainable finance. She has participated in the design and implementation of environmental projects and programs, financial planning for conservation, public policy design and development financing, solid waste management, green finance, and environmental and social safeguards.

She currently serves as a Safeguards Officer at the Charles Darwin Foundation, where she supports the assessment of the ecological impact of institutional projects and promotes the participation and inclusion of local stakeholders. For Leslie, this role represents being a guardian of environmental conservation and development with a human face.
